HD 48: Donna Did It!

It’s official: Donna Howard has bested Ben Bentzin in the HD48 Special Election Runoff.
With 39 of 39 Precincts reporting, the Travis County Clerk’s Office reports, in complete but unofficial results, that Donna Howard took the seat with 12,618 votes to Bentzin’s 9,281. That’s 57.62%% to 42.38%.
It appears Bentzin’s late rush of cash and assistance from Susan Combs and company didn’t help much. And, as you note, I’m giving Texas Bloggers a big pat on the back with the little graphic there, because a lot of those guys did a heck of a lot promoting this race, especially BOR and others in or near the district. You guys & gals deserve congratulations, too.
Now, it is off to the races in the special election for HD 106 with Katy Hubener!
