FOIA Update; Sunshine Week Coming

You guys no doubt know what a sticker I am when it comes to open records. So, anytime I see something come across the Wires, I want to post on it.
The president and CEO of the Newspaper Association of America had this on the FOIA Act and some new updates out this week. This link is from the Muskogee Phoenix in Oklahoma.
By the way, Sunshine Week is March 12 through 18. I’m going to be doing a multi-part series that week on how Bloggers can use the Texas Public Information Act to garner helpful records for original reporting during that week.
I sincerely hope that other Texas blogs will join me in observing Sunshine Week 2006. Open government is something that is important to all Texans, and it is something our readers need to know about.
