House Democratic Leaders Endorse Boyd Richie For Texas Democratic Chair
Endorsement by St. Rep. Jim Dunnam
“I would like to announce my endorsement of Boyd Richie for Chair of the Texas Democratic Party,” said Dunnam.“Boyd has committed to working with the Legislative leadership to put together a unified message and implement a plan that will allow Democratic House gains to continue. This spring it is important that we not miss one step down that road,” Dunnam continued. “With Boyd Richie as our next State Chair we will continue to build a strong, unified Democratic Party that will win in November and beyond.”
Rep. Dunnam is the House Democratic Leader and represents House District 57.
Rep. Coleman Endorses Richie for State Chair
State Representative Garnet F. Coleman issued the following statement after endorsing Boyd Richie for State Democratic Chair:“Boyd has proven himself as a great steward for the party both on the state and local levels,” Coleman said. “He has exhibited the commitment and ability needed to carry out the duties of party chair.
I hope that the SDEC chooses him to lead us through this important time in our party’s history.”
Rep. Coleman represents District 147 in Houston and is the Chair of the Legislative Study Group (LSG) and the immediate past chair of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus (TLBC).
