FEC Exempts Bloggers, House Speaker May Push Hensarling Bill Through

Although internet political ads will be regulated, individual websites (including blogs) are free from restrictions under new rules adopted by the Federal Election Commission Monday.
However, lawmakers could over-ride that decision, UPI reports.
Dallas Congressman Jeb Hensarling’s measure, which excludes all internet communication from the classification of “public communication” could still be debated this week.
[Not the House Speaker as UPI says, but rather just...] Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) is reportedly planning to push the Hensarling bill through the house, as he believes the FEC actions don’t go far enough in protecting free speech.
