Neugebauer To Have Opponent

How successful write-in campaigns for Congress are we all know, but at least someone in CD-19 is stepping up to challenge Randy Neugebauer.
Lubbock’s KCBD reports that an independent candidate (the buzzword of the year) named Michael Sadler will challenge Neugeblabber this fall:
Sadler is a Texas Tech graduate. With a degree in physics, he says politics are new to him, but he says he is willing to try it to get the focus back on the issues rather than the politicians.
I wonder why some of these guys don’t just file as Democrats (or even Libs or something) is they want to actually have their names on the ballot. It’s much easier to do that than to run a write-in campaign as an independent. Why give Neugeblabber a free ride? A write-in won’t get more than 2 percent of the vote in that district.

You did know that Neugebauer already had a Dem opponent, right? Robert Ricketts? There were quite a few people wearing Ricketts T-shirts in Fort Worth.
It’s Mike Conaway in CD11 that went unchallenged.
Oooops. Duh, yeah. I knew that; that’s what posting at 7 something in the morning will do for you…
