Too Funny Not To Highlight

I just ran across this at Zippidy Doo Da, which is actually a pro-Kinky but left-leaning blog. Anyway, it was too funny not to give wider exposure:

President Bush has deployed 37 National Guard troops under Houston State Rep. Rick Noriega to the Mexican border at Laredo. Lt. Colonel Noriega only recently returned form a tour of duty in Iraq. Look for the White House to continue to advance TRMPAC’s goal of shipping out all Democratic State Legislators so they can be replaced by members selected by the Christion Coalition, the Eagle Forum, and other batshit rightwing cliques.

I laughed so hard at this I nearly lost bladder control. Seriously. Well, ok, not seriously, but this was crafted quite well so as you almost had to read it twice before you realized “shipping out” actually meant to the Mexican Border and/or Iraq.

And, “batshit rightwing cliques?” That’s too rich. Glad that phrase isn’t copyrighted, because I’m going to start using it constantly. For example, at the grocery store:

Wal-Mart Clerk: Gosh, this dog food has really gone up in price!

Capitol Annex: Yeah, I know. It’s those batshit rightwing cliques.

or perhaps this…

Person on the other end of the phone: Hello, is Sally there?

Capitol Annex: No, dude. Sorry, you’ve got the wrong number.

Person on the other end of the phone: Yeah, that happens sometimes.

Capitol Annex: Yeah, man, I know. It’s those batshit rightwing cliques causing that, too, dude.
