Bolanos To File Ethics Complaint Against Bonillia

Rick Bolanos (D-El Paso) is expected to present a copy of an ethics complaint he intends to file against the political action committee of Congressman Henry Bonillia (R-San Antonio) later today, the El Paso times reports.
Bolanos is seeking to unseat Bonillia in CD-23, which was recently declared to be an unconstitutional congressional district by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Bolanos will reportedly ask the Federal Election Commission to investigate the alleged violations, which we should know more about later today.
The EPT offered this:
A news release by his campaign staff states that “Bolanos is demanding an immediate investigation into these violations and is requesting that Mr. Bonilla be sanctioned/censured, that Mr. Bonilla’s seat be declared vacant, and that Congress nullify the last election that was proven to be illegal when the Supreme Court’s decision found the district to be “gerrymandered.’”
In an interview, Bolanos said he is also asking for a moratorium on fundraising on Bonilla’s Dream PAC, “because it is being used to benefit an unconstitutionally delineated district.”
Interesting.
