Last week, my post entitled “The Case That May Require DeLay To Stay On The Ballot,” was nominated by the Watcher’s Council as one of the most link-worthy pieces of writing in the Blogsphere.
I’m quite honored to have been nominated even though it seems as though the Watcher’s Council is made up of nothing but right-of-center blogs. I guess good writing is good writing.
When I emailed the Watcher’s Council folks to ask what they were and why they linked to my post, they also asked me to point out that they are looking for another bloger to serve on the Watcher’s Council. You can go here for more information on that.
Also, poking around their site, I noted that we can nominate ourselves for consideration. So, of course, I just had to nominate this morning’s DeLay post.
In order to nominate yourself, you have to include the following verbage in a post announcing your self-nomination, so here goes:
As you may or may not already be aware, members of the Watcher’s Council hold a vote every week on what they consider to be the most link-worthy pieces of writing around… per the Watcher’s instructions, I am submitting one of my own posts for consideration in the upcoming nominations process.
Here is the most recent winning council post, here is the most recent winning non-council post, here is the list of results for the latest vote, and here is the initial posting of all the nominees that were voted on.
If you believe you have something nomination worthy on your blog, by all means, enage in self-nomination.
