The Comptroller Formerly Known As Rylander Loves To Recycle

Yes, Carole Strayhorn loves to recycle. But, instead of aluminum cans or used oil filters, One Dingy Grandma is an expert at recycling other people’s ideas.
What’s this you say? You thought C4N3P was a bona fide original political playah from the 512? Nope, CkMRS is just rockin’ a remix.
Lately, she’s been working hard and heavy remixing Chris Bell’s ideas to make them her own.
Chris Bell is talking about the environment? Then The Comptroller Formerly Known As Rylander is going to start hatin’ on coal power plants. Chris Bell is talking about the Trans Texas Corridor? Then Comptroller Cartman is going to talk about busting a cap in it, i.e. “blowing it off the books,” while using cute catch phrases like the “Trans Texas Catastrophe.”
Of course, this is all designed to get her as much media attention is possible. Take, for example, her trip to Waco this week.
A local television station there called her, “The state’s most high profile critic of the corridor plan…”
Uh, yeah. Ok.
What’s more interesting is when you read the whole sentence:
“The state’s most high profile critic of the corridor plan showed up in Waco Monday.”
Makes it almost sound like someone they’re getting a little tired of listening to, doesn’t it? Kind of like when you say, “Oh, hell. My in-laws showed up this weekend,” or “that nasty case of irritable bowel showed up again last night.”
The most amusing part of the Waco TV coverage was, however, the clip of Strayhorn’s press conference.
It’s here. The most amusing line is the “you can’t see it, I can’t see it, the people of Texas can’t see it” line. It’s the most amusing because she could easily be talking about her support among voters:
“You can’t see it, I can’t see it, the people of Texas can’t see it.”
