Delegation Performance On Minimum Wage, Estate Tax

By Vince Leibowitz  on Jul 31, 2006 in Texas Congressional Delegation

I’ve complied a spreadsheet of the Texas Congressional Delegation’s performance on the minimum wage and estate tax legislation before them this weekend. It’s here (.xls, .html)
Of interest to note is that Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tyler) failed to vote on any of this legislation—including the estate tax bill which was one of the issues he campaigned on heavily to get elected, even to the point of appearing in commercials during the GOP primary with a small music box claiming it was “all he had left” of his grandparents farm after it was sold to satisfy estate taxes.
