Wallace Withdraws

Mayor David Wallace will not run as a write-in Republican candidate for the congressional seat vacated by Tom DeLay.
I have heard, however, that Wallace repeatedly said he had no pressure put on him via the ‘powers that be’ in the Republican Party to change his plans.
Methinks the mayor doeth protest too much.
