Ciro Bows Out

Former U.S. Congressman Ciro Rodriguez, citing “family and personal reasons,” has withdrawn from the race to unseat Congressman Henry Bonillia (R-San Antonio) in the free-for-all election that resulted from a court-ordered redistricting plan.

Rodriguez was one of six Democrats, including San Antonio’s Lunkin Gilliland, Albert Uresti, and Rick Bolanos, who was the Democratic nominee against Bonillia in the district prior to the court ordered plan, in the race.
