Juan Garcia Plus Henry Cisneros Equals Elvis

As soon as I get done not speaking to one of my fellw bloggers who didn’t tell me Henry Cisneros was appearing at a public rally for Juan Garcia down in HD 23—which I so would have gone to—last week, I’m going to ask him if he is the one who made this Elvis quote to the Corpus Christi Caller Times:

More than 700 people jammed into the former Farm Supply warehouse in Taft recently for a “Juan Garcia for State House” rally featuring Henry Cisneros, the former San Antonio mayor and former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

“That was incredible,” said observer Ed Rodriguez. “Nothing like that has ever happened out here before. It was like having Elvis in town.”
