Oh, the mighty have fallen.
Instead of sending out emails raising money or complaining about liberals, Tom DeLay is now sending out emails telling his followers who to vote for on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
This is simply beyond commentary. The former U.S. House Majority Leader is telling his followers to vote for Sarah Evans, a country crooner who sang at the 2004 Republican National Convention because she “represents good, American values.”
Here’s more from the Statesman:
“One of her opponents on the show is ultra liberal talk show host Jerry Springer,” DeLay wrote. “We need to send a message to Hollywood and the media that smut has no place on television by supporting good people like Sara Evans.”

DeLay went on to say “If you DON’T for her, I’ll redistrict you into West Texas, close your tribe’s casino and boil your pet bunny rabbit! Fear me!”
Soon he’ll be urging us to fight smut by buying Amway products. Put me down for some beaver cleaner and some of that graft-be-gone stuff, Mr. Hammer.
Well, I would rather have him watching television and worrying about Hollywood’s soul than in politics any day! I keep dreaming he comes back as a Lobbyist for the Moral Majority…scary.
