[Author's Note: Following this post, there will be no further posts on Capitol Annex until this evening in honor and memory of Governor Ann Richards. As I think this is a loss many in the Texas Blogsphere feel quite personally, I suspect other blogs may be doing the same.]
The Texas Blogsphere took time out Wednesday night and Thursday morning to remember an icon of Texas politics, former Governor Ann Richards.

State Rep. Aaron Pena at A Capitol Blog recalled a personal story of time spent with Richards while both were staying at an Austin hotel to care for hospitalized family members.

The Agonist notes that Governor Richards embodied all that was great about Texas and the Texas Democratic spirit.
