This Is Another Reason I Hate Bees!

I’m allergic to bees, wasps, yellowjackets, hornets and red wasps. And, I’ve been to the emergency room several times as a result of stings.

And, thanks to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, I am now afraid to go outside:

A South Texas man died after being swarmed by bees when he was mowing a lawn, officials said.

Reymundo Ramirez died Saturday after bumping a lawn mower into a storage shed near Alice, according to the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office.

Ramirez, whose age was not available, ran to the side of the house but collapsed covered in bees, sheriff’s officials said.

Manuel Gonzalez, a county animal control officer, said the nest probably contained Africanized bees, also known as killer bees.

Ok. Forget school finance, ethics, taxes and all that. I want a governor who can get rid of the Africanized Killer Bees.

Note: Although I’m not serious about the last statement above (though it would be nice), I’d still say Chris Bell would be better to rid Texas of the AKB’s than the others. Kinky would just call them racial slurs, Carole Strayhorn would first decide to kill them and then give them amnesty and then just give them school vouchers (flip-flop); Rick Perry would just stare down at them from a helicopter while wearing a flack suit and pledging to “do something about this looming crisis;” James Werner would defend their right to exist and smoke weed while carrying firearms.
