HD 150: Debbie Riddle’s Unknown & Misplaced Receipts

It seems as though John Davis isn’t the only ethically challenged Republican State Representative having trouble filling in their Texas Ethics Commission forms.
State Rep. Debbie Riddle is having some problems of her own in that department.
For example, according to Democrat Dot Nelson-Turnier’s campaign, Riddle’s January, 2006 report includes an expenditure for $340 which is marked “unknown,” as well as $11,340 in labled only as “various,” and another expenditure noted as “misplaced.”
Although we all know any money spent by a Republican on getting elected is misplaced (certainly morally!), it is interesting how the campaign could “misplace” the entire purpose of an expenditure.
But wait, there’s more.
In Riddle’s April ‘06 TEC report, $ 700 in expenditures were reported with no payee, just the notation “political purpose†and a deposit was recorded for $1500 that was just noted as “unaccounted†and “counter depositâ€. No other details are given for these odd entries.
Is a “counter deposit” like a “counter protest?” Or, did she just find a bunch of money from James Leinninger laying around on her kitchen counter and decide to call it the “conter deposit?”
And, Riddle shows no contrubutions in her June 14 Special Session report, but does show a donation on May 31 from the INdependent Bankers of Texas in the next reporting period. That’s interesting.

I am glad that there is finally a man like Dot Nelson with the balls to stand up to Debbie Riddle and let her know that undocumented workers from Mexico are here to stay and we deserve all of the rights of US Citizens because we live here too. My children need to be educated and my family cannot afford health care. A rich nation such as the USA should be able to support my family without too much problem. I work hard to feed my 9 children and I deserve my welfare check. I do not need to pay income tax with my all cash business because I pay sales tax. My son helped to raise the Mexico flag at his high school and got in trouble for it. We are now the majority and Texas had better get use to it. When Texas becomes Texico, I will try to be nice and understanding to all of the displaced rich white people. I might even let them cut my grass. Paybacks are hell…..Armando Martinez
