McCaul: Another Debate Dodger

By Vince Leibowitz  on Oct 18, 2006 in 2006 Texas Elections

It seems as though Michael McCaul (D-Austin) is following the lead of other Congressional Republicans like John Carter (R-Round Rock) in refusing to debate.

Of course, McCaul has an excuse for why he won’t debate Ted Ankrum. It’s not as innovative as John Carter’s excuse that Mary Beth Harrell hadn’t “earned” the right do debate, though. In this case, McCaul claims he’s simply got no space in his schedule. That’s his claim concerning the League of Women Voters-Austin debate on October 23.

Of course, we all know McCaul, Carter and the rest of the Republicans are simply dodging debates because, let’s face it, they’ll be bloodbaths.

    Your not Fox, are you?

    You gave McCaul the D.

But ya, John Carter is quite similar to John Culberson in debate dodging. And Culberson has nothing on his website’s schedule.
