TX CD-32, CD-14: Emerging Races

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has named Texas’ CDs 32 and 14 to its “emerging races” list.
CD 14, which features Shane Sklar, is no surprise. This race is one that’s highly winnable and should get some DCCC money.
CD-32, where Will Pryor is running against Pete Sessions is the one that surprised me being on the emerging races list. This race has received little attention from the Blogsphere—far, far less than the Frost/Sessions race did back in 2004.
I would have picked Mary Beth Harrell as an emerging race simply given the amount of money Frost poured into CD-32 in 2004 that still didn’t make a difference against Sessions. I don’t know if the DCCC has done a poll or something that has shown Sessions as being in danger as a result of the anti-incumbent, anti-Republican nature of the electorate right now, but I’d love to know what made this an emerging race.
That said, Pryor is an excellent candidate who has run countywide in Dallas before; he’s well known and can certainly make a race of it. Of course, he, like Harrell, Sklar and others, needs money.
