With All The Weighty Issues Before Congress, “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Tops For Sam Johnson, Louie Gohmert

Evidently, I missed where “Dog The Bounty Hunter,” aka Duane Chapman, got arrested and in some legal trouble for bounty hunting in Mexico (and I did wonder why Eric Cartman was portraying him on this week’s episode of South Park). Unlike everything else under the sun, bounty hunting happens to be illegal in Mexico (who knew?).
Anyway, you’d think, what with this being an election year and all, that Texas Congressmen would have more to do than pass around “open letters” to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice asking her to block his extradition.
Oh, not so.
Ted Poe (R-Humble), Ron Paul (R-Surfside), Louie Gohmert (R-Tyler) and Sam Johnson (R-Plano) all signed the letter.
And, guess what? Two of those, Poe and Gohmert, used to be state district judges. Evidently they don’t have much regard for the laws of Mexico. Of course, they don’t have much regard for the laws of the United States, so what’s the real surprise?
Honestly, we all knew about “soccer moms,” “NASCAR Dads,” and “Facebook teens,” as constituant groups. Are we now to undersand that there are now, “Dog’s Dawgs” that we have to contend with?
That will most assuredly screw up the crosstabs on the next Zogby survey, eh bra?
