I think the MainStreamMedia is simply just taking strange and irrelevant things Rick Perry says and using them to headline stories now:

I refuse to offer further commentary, except to say: soaring electric rates, an education finance system still in need of repair and Lord knows what else, and the MSM quotes the incumbent governor while he’s going through the buffet line.
Plus, I’m sure Rick Perry alienated all 1.000012 percent of the Texas population that puts the grain course above the meat course. Never shoulda tossed away that bread. Nope, just not prudent.
