HD 118: Don’t Drink And Run
By Vince Leibowitz on Nov 1, 2006 in 2006 Texas Elections
If nothing else, you would think that, when Republicans are recruiting candidates to run for office, they’d remember the cardinal rule: don’t drink and run.
Evidently not.
Down in 118, where Republicans are pouring in money like water, George Antuna, former flunkie to Kay Bailey Hutchison and Rick Perry, is in the midst of a serious controversy over a couple of drinking and driving incidents.
In once instance, Antuna was asleep in the passenger seat of the vehicle of a woman who was not his wife (paging Drew Nixon?!?) when she was stopped for DWI and he was too drunk to drive home.
In another instance, Antuna’s drinking was credited with causing an accident that injured several people, including two teenagers.
Can it get any worse than this for Republicans? I mean, seriously, can it?

No, but it could get worse for the Democrats. Antuna could win.
Yeah Antuna could win.
And Bernie Sanders could become a Republican.
And Marisa Miller, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosia and Gisele Bundchen could have a 5-way with me.
But I’m not holding my breath (my powers over supermodels only extend to two at a time).
