From deep in the heart of the reddest area of Texas, The Canadian Record has endorsed Barbara Radnofsky for U.S. Senate:

TEXAS’ SENIOR SENATOR Kay Bailey Hutchison is seeking her third term in office, and assumes we will grant it to her. Barbara Ann Radnofsky, her Democratic challenger, has given us the one most compelling reason we could possibly have, not to.

Since announcing her candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Hutchison, Radnofsky has campaigned like a woman on a mission. She has traveled the state extensively, taking every opportunity to meet with and listen to voters. She has spoken with refreshing candor, with laser-like intelligence and with a fierce sense of what is at stake in this election. Those who did not watch the League of Women Voters debate two Thursdays ago missed the first opportunity they have had in years to hear someone hold Hutchison accountable for her record. Radnofsky was more than up to the task. Senator Hutchison toed the hard party line as she has throughout her tenure, to the considerable detriment-it now seems obvious-of those she was entrusted to represent.
