HD 85: Democratic Hold

In the race to take former House Speaker Pete Laney’s place, Democrat Joe Heflin won by 156 votes, 14,250 to 14,094 (48.90 percent to 48.36 percent. A libertarian held 2.74 percent of the vote. I’d expect a recount in this one.
