FINALS:

A few finals or near-finals to report.

CD 7: Culberson wins with 58.46 percent. Henley ran a good campaign. 99.45 percent of precincts are in.

CD 19: With 92.94 percent of precincts reporting, Neugebauer gets another term with 67.68 percent. Kudos to Robert Ricketts for putting up an excellent fight and running an excellent campaign in a very red area and getting 29.65 percent (so far).

CD 22: AP has called it for Lampson. The numbers via SOS are a mess and the Chronicle website appears down, but I think he’s got it.

CD 26: With 84.95 perent reporting, Burgess gets another term with 59.64 percent, Tim Barnwell got 37.84 percent in a race that was on few people’s radar and he showed that things could possibly be more competitive with more money.

HD 3: Homer has 58.37 with 88.7 percent of precincts reporting.

HD 7: Tommy Merritt won with 68.44 percent. Patrick Franklin, the first openly-gay candidate for Texas House in East Texas polled 28.61 in one of the most red districts in the state.

HD 11: Homer wins

HD 12: McReynolds wins with 55.37 percent

HD 17: Kleinschmidt has a tiny lead. 48.67 percent over Robby Cook the Democratic Incumbent who has 48.26. 84.11 percent of the precincts are in.

HD 19: Closer than expected. Democrat Paul Clayton polled 42.65 percent against Mike Hamilton, the Republican incumbent.

HD 33: Solomon P. ORtiz, Jr. wins the seat left vacant by Vilma Luna.

HD 35: Gonzalez Toureilles is on track to win with 52.43 to Republican Challenger Esparza’s 42.24. Again, this is a district with an overpeformed, gaining 5.33 percent of the vote. At present, 77.88 percent of precincts are in.

HD 47: Bolton will win. She has 50.24 with 95.65 reporting; the Libertarian once again over performs with 4.24.
