Tom DeLay: Selling Off The Furniture
By Vince Leibowitz on Nov 14, 2006 in Replacing DeLay
My, my, my. Having Dick Deguerin represent you (not to mention at least four or five other law firms) must be pretty expensive.
Why? Because Tom DeLay’s been selling off office furniture. According to the FEC documents, several individuals have bought office furniture previously owned by the DeLay campaign and it. [Via Talking Points Memo]
So, will we now see file cabinets on EBay listed as “Genuine File Cabinet That Once Held Tom DeLay’s Congressional Correspondence?”
Doubtful.
As much as I hate to actually rain on the parade, when most campaigns with assets of the magnitude the DeLay campaign possessed disband, they usually have a “fire sale.”
After all, isn’t there a book deal or something that’s bringing DeLay lots of cash right about now?
I think we’ll really know DeLay is desparate when he’s auctioning his whip collection at Sotheby’s, or, worse yet, having a garage sale.
