Blogs are already covered under libel law. It's just a do-nothing platform for grandstanding. I think it's questionable strategy whether bloggers should even grace it with attention - she's just spiteful because a lot of bloggers have criticized her, e.g., <a href="http://gritsforbreakfast.blogspot.com/2005/03/memo-to-state-budget-writers-pencil-in.html" rel="nofollow"> me</a>, <a href="http://pinkdome.com/archives/2005/05/rude.html" rel="nofollow">Charlie</a>, and <a href="http://www.inthepinktexas.com/2006/11/15/my-other-blog-is-yo-mama/" rel="nofollow">Eileen</a>, and I'm sure many others. This is one of my pet issues and I'll be working with the ACLU Legislative lobby team to make sure we get a VVPAT/VVPAB bill passed this session. We really need to see who gets appointed to chair the Elections Committee in the House. Hopefully it will be someone who is much more informed about the seriousness of the matter.
