80th Legislature: More Election Related Legislation Filed

As we head into the holiday week, more election and voter-related legislation has been pre-filed for the upcoming session of the 80th Legislature.

HB 265 by Raflael Anchia (D-Dallas) would authorize same-day voter registration in Texas. You can register to vote (and vote) on election day at the polling place by showing appropriate identification.

HB 266, also by Anchia, would declare statewide election days (including primaries) as state holidays.
