Help Out The Legislative Study Group
By Vince Leibowitz on Dec 5, 2006 in Texas Public Policy & Taxation
Don’t forget that the Texas Legislative Study Group could still use your contribution before December 9.
From their website:
The Legislative Study Group (LSG) is a caucus in the Texas House of Representatives that is committed to developing sound public policy that benefits all Texas families. Created in 1995, the LSG has worked through six regular sessions and seven special sessions of the Texas Legislature, becoming one of the leading policy resources in the Texas Capitol.
The future of Texas relies on sound public policy, and that begins with sensible, solutions-oriented approaches to the issues facing Texas families. Your contribution will pay for at least seven LSG staff members to monitor key committees, legislation, and session activities to help members communicate to their constituents and advance policy proposals through briefings, reports, and an updated, interactive LSG website.
With your help, the LSG can evaluate and recommend public policy proposals that will benefit all Texas families, with an emphasis on health care, public education, the state budget, and consumer, worker and environmental protection.
Please give what you can. Capitol Annex has already made our donation.
