Al Edwards Plans Rematch Against Borris Miles

By Vince Leibowitz  on Dec 12, 2006 in 2008 Texas Elections

What is it about Houston-area state Representatives who can’t manage to stay out of politics once they have been defeated.

First, Talmadge Heflin couldn’t stay away and had to run against Hubert Vo again this year.

Now, State Rep. Al Edwards is evidently planning another primary run against State Rep. Elect Borris Miles in ‘08.
There must be something in the water down in Harris County.

We could say the same about Ciro, I suppose, but it worked out for him (eventually), right?

(And I dislike Al Edwards as much as anyone and hope he stays permanently retired… just pointing out that it’s not just a Harris Co. thing)
