Recovering From Christmas & The Flu

I hope each of you had a Merry Christmas. I know I did.
At any rate, over the holiday hiatus from blogging, I also managed to acquire a lovely, designer, non-returnable case of “The Flu” combined with a sinus infection.
Oh, and the power box on the computer went out (on top of the flu) and had to be replaced this morning.
Needless to say, I’m blogging in a very bad state of stuffiness and pain right now. And, Ellie (Capitol Annex’s Official Canine Mascot) is sitting on my lap, which does not make for easy blogging.
Anyway, the promised piece on the speaker’s race will come today…eventually…just give me a little more time to recover.
