Quit Complaining; We Just Took The Morning Off!

I take a morning off from providing you news and opinion to prepare for the marathon of liveblogging on the morrow, and people think I’ve succumbed to Dead Bird Syndrome or something.

From one email:

“Dude, what’s going on? Were you evacuated because of all those dead birds or something? Where’s my Capitol Annex fix for today. You suck! Speaker’s Race! Speaker’s Race! Tell me what’s happening or I’m going to stop reading Capitol Annex! Actually, no, I never could do that without a 12-step program!!!”

Well, isn’t that special. Actually, no, we were not evacuated due to the dead bird crisis in Austin, since we don’t live in Austin (hence our motto, “Outside Austin, but terribly well-connected”). However, we do sympathize with those that were.

We were simply taking the morning off because we know tomorrow will try our patience, especially if we have trouble with the “Live Feed” from the House Floor.
