Pena And Rose Seconded Craddick

By Vince Leibowitz  on Jan 9, 2007 in Uncategorized

Rep. Aaron Pena (D-Edinburg) and Rep. Patrick Rose (D-Dripping Springs) seconded Craddick’s nomination.

I’m not shocked about Rose seconding, but I am surprised by Rep. Pena offering a second.

However, I’m not on the bandwagon as some of by blogger colleagues of calling for primary opponents for these guys.

The culture of fear in the House no doubt contributed to the facts that Democrats offered seconding speeches.  I just can’t say we can hold this against these people right now.

Let’s look at the totality of people’s records, that’s all I’m saying.

Pena’s action is no surprise. He has been doing anything and everything he could think of to make Craddick like him for nearly a year and a half, His hope is that Craddick will appoint him the Chair of the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence. We will soon see if it worked.
