HR 3 Debate: Amendment 36….

We’re liveblogging now, but of course…we missed the good parts.
Now, they are on Amendment 36 to HR 3 (which isn’t online yet) which seems to have something to do with what amendments would look like online. A “Blackline” system for amendments. Blacklines…redlines…this will be expensive, evidently, Solomons said. No, maybe the technology is avaliable…it’s hard coming into the debate in the middle.
Rep. Escobar is up. The amendment is so the general public could view everything that is going on with an amendment. Ah! Yes. That’d be nice RIGHT NOW, since I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS AMENDMENT SAYS! Ah, Escobar threw out students as wanting to see the amendments and Solomon put his hand up on his head. Escobar is trying to make the point (btw, evidently this is a Gallegos amendment, WE DON’T KNOW BECAUSE WE CAN’T READ IT!) that this has educational benefits, too. Good point.
“Laudable goal” says Solomons.
