First Lady’s Suit Fabricated?
By Vince Leibowitz on Jan 15, 2007 in WTF?
When I read the headline below on the Austin American-Statesman’s website, I was scratching my head:

The word “fabrication” has, obviously, different connotations. In the case of the headline above, it refers to how the dress is put together. However, when I first glanced at it, I thought it was intended negatively, thinking perhaps that James Leininger and Bob Perry had gone in together and paid for it to be made.
Luckily, I was wrong about that part and there is nothing sinister about the First Lady of Texas getting dressed to the nines for the innaugural galas.
However, I cannot let this moment pass without throwing out another entertaining quote from the Statesman piece:
“We have sewn over 100 unique pieces of organza together in an abstract version of the honeycomb style found in Chinese paper lanterns,” said Danes, a San Antonio native.
Funny. I thought they were talking about the amendments to HR 3.
