CD 14: Sklar Has Made No Decision On Entering The Race
Shane Sklar (D-Edna), the candidate who opposed Congressman Ron Paul (R-Surfside) in the 2006 election cycle, said in a statement today that he’s received “numerous calls” from his district and Washington, D.C. concerning his plans for 2008 following Paul’s revalation that he would run for president.
He’s holding off on making a decision, but has no kind words for Paul:
“It’s unfortunate that Paul has chosen to pursue the presidency instead of representing his district, especially during this time of dramatic change in Washington. It reinforces what I’ve said all along: the 14th District deserves someone who wants to make a difference, Sklar continued.
