The Ted Nugent Situation Won’t Help Perry’s Veep Ambitions
By Vince Leibowitz on Jan 19, 2007 in 2008 Presidential Race
As if the “mofo incident” wasn’t enough, Ted Nugent may become Rick Perry’s “macaca” when it comes to his vice presidential ambitions (see photo at left).
It’s hard to not imagine a situation in which Democrats wouldn’t want to or be able to use against Rick Perry the fact that an entertainer at his inaugural festivities showed up in a Rebel flag shirt and said bad things about immigrants should he ever end up (or be considered) for the number two spot on a Republican presidential ticket.
This probably won’t do much for Nugent’s gubernatorial ambitions, as he has previously been mentioned as someone interested in Perry’s current job.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, to me, Confederate statues are one thing, but the Rebel flag is quite another. It was never the official flag of the confederacy. The fact that it has become an emblem for white supremacists doesn’t make it any better for Nugent or Perry, either.

Hey Uncle Ted - how ya doin’ draft dodger. Remember me? I’m the Vietnam veteran that confronted you the night of October 25, 2006 at the University of Wisconsin Madison. I sat through 45 minutes of your phony demagoguery while you were stating your respect for the Constitution, free speech and veterans. Yet when I confronted you about your cowardice of admitting to urinating and defecating in your pants for an entire week to avoid duty to your during the Vietnam war you screamed F— You, and eat s— and die then shut my mic off. Well Uncle Ted, so much for your respect for veterans, free speech and the Constitution. Come clean next time will you Uncle Ted and remove those fatigues when your’re finished preaching about your phony bravery and your respect towards veterans and the Constitution and show your American audiences your yellow and brown stained panties that you soiled to coward your way out of serving your country. You are a filthy bag of cowadice and hypocrisy. You need to stand in front of the Vietnam Memorial and apologize to all Vietnam veterans that you have betrayed by earning “blood money” off of their sacrifices and suffering they have endured for the rights that you claim to worship.
