Althoughit is certain that a minimum wage bill will pass out of the U.S. Congress and end up on the President’s desk, it is unclear at this time if he’ll actually sign it into law since it is opposed by “big business.”
This makes today’s meeting of the House Economic Development Committee one to watch, as it will consider no less than eight minimum wage bills of various stripes [HB 49, HB 193, HB 236, HB 262, HB 327, HB 451, HB 641, HB 936].
The committee meets at 10:30 a.m. or upon final adjournment.
