Jessica’s Law: Phillips Amendment

Gattis is up against the Phillips Amendment to his Amendment/Floor Substitute (i.e. the amendment to the amendment or Amendment 9) and is going to move to table it:

Gattis told the Chamber that there are many things they can do to boost their “tough on crime bona fides,” but that they should only do those things when they benefit the victims and give prosecutors appropriate tools.

Gattis has now moved to table and Phillips is back up to close.

I anticipate this being a close vote.
