TYC Scandal: Glossing Over Jay Kimbrough

I assumed it would only be a matter of time before a MainStream media outlet published a story talking about what a wonderful guy Jay Kimbrough is, while paying more attention to people who want to praise him rather than people who accurately believe he is a partisan hack.
The Dallas Morning News did so this morning. In the case of Kimbrough, it’s not that anyone disagrees that the man doesn’t have an impressive resume.
However, Kimbrough has a highly-politicized past, both as a deputy chief of staff to governor Perry and for his involvement in the 2003 Redistricting debacle.
There are many more individuals in Texas with resumes just as impressive who don’t have the political baggage as Kimbrough, and one of them should have been selected as Special Master.
