Amendment 133: An Anti-Choice Wingnut Amendment

Wayne Christian (R-Center) has proposed Amendment 133 to prevent any state dollars to go to any entity that has anything to do with abortions, essentially.
Anchia called a point of order under Rule 8, Sec. 4 of the House rules and a provision of the Texas Constiution because the amendment would change general law of the state. Christian claims it would put in force the will of the house for the last ten years.
Craddick called for the point of order to be brought forward, and we await a ruling. The POO was temporarily withdrawn, as was the amendment. Evidently, no one wants two hours of debate at 12:30 in the morning.
