Rose, Lucio Jump Off Craddick’s Sinking Ship

Quorum Report is reporting that Patrick Rose (D-Dripping Springs) and Eddie Lucio III (D-Brownsville) have withdrawn their support from House Speaker Tom Craddick (R-Midland):

Rose who serves as chairman of the Human Services Committee said, “I respect the Speaker and his family but I believe the House has to be governed from the middle.”

Lucio said, “I appreciate the professionalism the speaker has shown me. I originally voted for him because he promised a clean slate and I honored the pledge card I gave him. I gave his administration a session. He has always been a gentleman to me but we have a deeply divided House. I respect him and his family. I know this will be difficult but I respectfully wish him and his family well.”

Interesting. Pena? Guillen? Chavez? Who’s next?
