Paul Seeking House Spot, Too

For those of us who have wondered if Ron Paul’s presidential run would end his House tenure, here’s a big fat ‘no’ on that one:
Paul, a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology who no longer practices medicine, said his personal way of being Earth-friendly is to grow tomatoes organically. But Paul, who will turn 72 in August, has no intention of puttering into obscurity. In addition to seeking an 11th House term next year, he’s chasing the Republican nomination for president.

Like other Texans who have leaped for national office — Lyndon B. Johnson and Lloyd Bentsen — Paul plans to run for president while seeking re-election.
Given all the cash he’s grabbing for that presidential run, I’d say other GOP comers might want to step aside in the CD 14 Primary.

It certainly comes as no surprise to us here at Capitol Annex that Congressman Ron Paul (R-Surfside) is essentially abandoning his presidential bid (although he beats around the bush about it) to focus on–what else–his re-election campaign for Congress. Of course, we here at Capitol Annex have said that this is what Paul would do all along.
