TX SEN: Cheney To Fundraise For Cornyn In Dallas, Potential Hosts Include Trammell Crow, Louis Beecherl

Vice President Cheney will headline a Dallas reception Thursday night to raise money for Texas Sen. John Cornyn and the GOP’s senatorial campaign committee. It’s at an undisclosed location. The only details we’ve got so far: Private residence in Zip code 75205. … He’s scheduled to arrive in Dallas five hours early. Anyone’s guess how he’ll kill time…. Maybe he’ll check out his old neighborhood in Highland Park. Or tour SMU and offer some ideas for the Veep wing at the Bush Presidential Library.

Earlier Thursday, Mr. Cheney will give a speech to the Indiana American Legion in Indianapolis. On Friday, he’ll address the Dallas World Affairs Council at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

Narrowing down the location and host of the fund-raiser shouldn’t be too difficult. According to OpenSecrets, the zip code for the fund-raiser location has a couple of prominent GOP donors in the current cycle.

The most likely location seems to be the home of Louis & Julie T. Beecherl. Julie Beecherl has already given a cool $25,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, while her hubby, Louis (a former University of Texas Regent and major fund-raiser for President Bush), has given $28K to the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee.

Though no other donors are listed as NRSCC donors, several prominent names pop out as possible hosts, including Trammell Crow, Jack Pew of Jackson Walker LLP, and Laurence Hirsch who is the CEO of Centex.
