TX SEN: Noriega’s Compassion Evident In Bedside Vigil For Ill Supporter
A Capitol Annex tipster let us in on a story from down San Antonio way relating to a fund-raiser held for State Rep. Rick Noriega’s run for U.S. Senate.
Our tipster tells us that Rep. Noriega was late getting to the fund-raiser as a result of a drive from Eagle Pass, and spoke for about 15 minutes upon arrival before taking some questions. Shortly thereafter, a fundraiser guest suffered what was believed to be a heart attack, and EMS was called to the scene. Our tipster reports that Rep. Noriega made his way into the master bedroom of the home where the woman was taken. Noriega was witnessed holding her hand and praying for her while she was undergoing treatment.
Evidently, Rep. Noriega was simply concerned for the lady and slipped into the room offer her some comfort.
That’s a pretty neat story. And, it says a lot about Rick Noriega that he’d leave a houseful of people there to see him (and give him money) to offer some comfort to this lady.
Cool.
