TX SEN: John Cornyn Sucks So Bad, State GOP Is Scared Out Of Its Wits
By Vince Leibowitz on Jan 8, 2008 in 2008 Texas Elections
The Republican Party of Texas just sent out an email blast to its list telling its party members who the 2008 Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate were, listing each one with their education, spouse, and qualifications.
The email also included this statement:
No matter which candidate secures the nomination, this fall’s general election is certain to be a tough fight. We are counting on the full support and collective efforts of Republican leaders across the state to ensure continued conservative leadership for all Texans in the United States Senate.
I’m not sure who wrote that email, because nobody in their right mind could possibly believe that Gene Kelly (vomit) or Rhett Smith are credible candidates, or that Ray McMurrey would ever be able to defeat John Cornyn.
However, the Republican Party of Texas seems to be scared witless of the entire field, saying it will be a “tough fight” no matter what. It’s pretty said if Republicans have such little faith in their own senator that they think Gene “leave a note in my potted plant and I’ll get back with you” Kelly would give him a run for his money.
The only clear choice for Democrats is Noriega. He won’t only give Cornyn a run for his money, he’ll defeat him.

Is there a reason why you like Noriega so much, despite his poor showing at the Sun City event over the weekend? Or why you think Ray McMurrey can’t win? Is there ever any analysis on this blog, or just a lot of yap?
to quality, affordable health care? Makes you wonder why Cornyn keep voting against the S-CHIP program time after time. Somehow his rhetoric rings hollow. The fact that Cornyn is bothering to engage his Democratic opponents (combined with the Texas GOP”concerned” email) signals that we have their attention.
