Jeff,
If you'll notice in the post, it says, "liveblogging." In blogging terminology, that means you are watching it and blogging it as it happens, meaning it happened on the date of the post. In this case, Sat. 19, 2008.

My mistake, I thought you were referring to the AFL-CIO event on Wednesday, not the one today, which Rick Noriega did most certainly attend. My apologies, please forgive the accusatory tone of this post.

Vince, you're conveniently forgetting a crucial detail - RICK NORIEGA DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO SHOW UP AT THE AFL-CIO EVENT. He had a friend of his deliver that address for him. Yet you still call this post "Rick Noriega's Address." What you also failed to mention is that Ray McMurrey was on hand to answer questions after his address, and gave a particularly good answer to a question regarding his top environmental priorities. The Noriega representative answered no questions, per the rules of the forum.

<!--%kramer-pre%-->easy to talk from the cheap seats when you haven't been in the trenches for a long time fighting for Texas families," Noriega said. (Kelly Shannon, “Noriega, McMurrey make cases to labor activists,” AP, January 19, 2008) Go read the article andVince's summaryon Noriega's speech (which received a standing ovation, natch). The reality is that while Ray's been doing an admirable job teaching kids in his school, he hasn't been fighting some of the battles that Noriega's fought in the Texas House against<!--%kramer-post%-->

<!--%kramer-pre%-->convention about the clear differences Democrats have with Republicans like John Cornyn and why we are better for Texas workers and Texas families. Vince Leibowitz was there liveblogging both Noriega's and McMurrey's speeches. Noriega gave a rousing"I've Had Enough" speechthat outlined those important differences that we have with the GOP. And McMurrey? He ignored those issues and cut away to whine about unrelated campaign process issues, including this statement. "Mr. Cornyn is debating his challenger, Larry Kilgore,<!--%kramer-post%-->
