Congressman Gonzalez Gives Obama Key Endorsement

By Vince Leibowitz  on Feb 12, 2008 in 2008 Presidential Race

Sen. Barack Obama has picked up a pretty important endorsement from the Texas Congressional Delegation this week: that of Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D-San Antonio).

It is indeed interesting to watch how Texas leaders have split between Obama and Clinton.
Here is what Gonzalez had to say about his endorsement:

“Senator Obama brings all these new fresh faces,’’ Gonzalez told the San Antonio Express-News. “He has a wider audience. He has the greater potential to engage a greater number of people.’’

With another major San Antonio leader–former Mayor and HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros–endorsing Hillary Clinton, I can’t wait to see what the Bexar County vote does on March 4.
