Hutchison Joins Cornyn In Endorsing John McCain

By Vince Leibowitz  on Feb 12, 2008 in 2008 Presidential Race

U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has joined “Box Turtle” (aka Junior Senator John Cornyn) in endorsing John McCain leading up to the presidential primary in Texas on March 4:

“Sen. McCain called me over the weekend and asked if I would campaign with him in Texas and I am very pleased to do so. I think we can strengthen our party and our ability to reach out to voters if we all come together as soon as possible to talk about what unites us and what we will do for America. I look forward to campaigning with Sen. McCain in Texas so our voters get a chance to learn of his significant achievements for our country during his 40 years of public service and his vision for a secure and thriving America for the future.”

I wonder if Hutchison did this just to make sure she’d get on McCain’s “short list” for the vice presidency. Hutchison has, for at least the eight years, as a possible Veep contender in 2008. And, if Hillary Clinton is at the top of the GOP ticket, both Hutchison and Texas Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-Fort Worth), could well both end up on the eventual GOP nominee’s short list.

Personally, I absolutely support lap dances for the TABC. This has to be one of the most useless, outdated, and inefficient agencies in the country. Keep them in the strip club where they can do less harm.
