Who Is Behind The New Blog Slamming Parent PAC?

Perhaps you’ve come across the new blog, Old Government Road. We’re not sure who is behind that, but we do have our suspicions who they’re batting for. Check out their latest missive, directed at Texas Parent PAC:

But now their true colors have come out for show. They’re a joke, a flash in the pan that may get a candidate elected here and there, but they’ll never amass the support in Austin they need to completely run-over our public education system with their one-sided mindset and hateful campaign tactics.

You’ve got to be kidding. You can’t judge Parent PAC–or any PAC, for that matter–based on their success or failure in this year’s Texas Primary. This year’s Texas primary was a total and complete zoo–especially on the Democratic side.

For Democratic candidates like Moreno, they were disadvantaged by voters who came to the polls to vote for president and didn’t have a clue about anything else on the ballot. For Republican candidates Parent PAC supported (like Pat Haggerty), they were disadvantaged because Democrats weren’t in a position–as they were in 2006 in the Grusendorf race–to cross over and help pro-education Republicans because they wanted to vote for president and participate in the caucus process.

This cycle was an odd duck–one that basically shot all polls and models straight to hell. Why? Because many of those who went to the polls to vote for president
